2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Vancouver foodie festival, Taste of Yaletown. For two weeks, eateries throughout the urban neighbourhood are offering special set menu options for lunch and dinner, priced at $25, $35 or $45. Need an extra nudge? A portion of profits from this event will go to support the Great Vancouver Food Bank Society.
Twenty six restaurants are participating in this year's event, with newcomers Distillery, Salad Works, Simply Thai and La Terrazza joining for the first time. Old favourites like Brix, Hamilton Street Grill and Honjin are also involved and you can whet your appetite by viewing menus online now.
With set menus (most which also have a wine pairing option), the guesswork is taken out of the sometimes overwhelming decisions that come with too many delectable choices. Try a new restaurant, a new food, a new wine – you'll probably discover a new favourite.
Taste of Yaletown runs from Thursday, October 16 to Thursday, October 30.
