Ontwerpduo Glow Light
While lit, this new light by Dutch design duo Nathan Wierink and Tineke Beunders of Ontwerpduo looks like a normal white light. When turned off, it leaves a blue, starry glow that slowly fades over time. This new light will be on display in the Dutch Exchange: Eindhoven at IDS Vancouver.
Tom Dixon Curve Pendant Ball Lights
Industrial designer Tom Dixon, keynote speaker for IDS Vancouver's Trade Day, has developed a new curved light series reminiscent of a satellite, and his latest designs will be available for sale at a pop-up shop. Also check out Tom Dixon's Fire Kitchen (colours selected for this kitchen have a dramatic black and dark gray appearance), the central feature exhibit at IDS Vancouver this year.
This week marks the September equinox, the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator. Fitting then that five designers at this year’s IDS Vancouver (September 22 to 25) have created some celestially inspired designs.
